The main conference program will consist of a mix of plenary and parallel sessions and optional activities.

Conference Program

1 October - Demographic Guide Launch, Art Exhibition Launch, Cultural Tour & Cocktail Reception:
The activities outlined below for the first day of the conference are optional. You can register to attend one or all of these events.

* Launch of the 2nd Edition of the Handy Guide for Service Providers - Migrant Resource Centre North East
- Location: Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre
- Time: 10.00 to 11.00pm
- Morning Tea provided
- A handy guide for service providers working with newly arrived migrants and refugees in the North (Banyule, Darebin, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea & Yarra)

* Launch of Conference Art Exhibition
- Location: Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre
- Time: 11.00 to 12.30pm
- Light refreshments provided.

* Cultural Tour of the City of Darebin
- Departure point: Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre
- Time: 12.45 to 5.30 pm
- Afternoon Tea provided

* VMC Pre Conference Cocktail Reception
- Location: Queen's Hall, Parliament House, East Melbourne
- The Victorian Multicultural Commission welcomes conference delegates to Victoria.
- Time: 7.30 to 10.30 pm
- Entertainment by Kavisha Mazzella, Groovy Grooves, and Platform Theatre.
- Light refreshments provided.
2 October - Main Conference Event:
* Opening Ceremony - conference to be opened by the Honourable Gary Hardgrave, Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs.
* Plenary Sessions - keynote presentations
* Parallel Sessions - general delegate presentations
* Conference Dinner - 7.30 to 10.30 pm (optional activity - bookings essential)
